Onsite Technician

Level 2 Desktop Support to End Users on a professional level.

Your skills

  • Proven experience in Level 2 technical support or equivalent IT role.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) are a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with device imaging, staging, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of smart card configuration and authentication processes.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications and tools such as Office 365, VPN clients, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Your tasks

  • Stage, configure, and prepare devices (desktops, laptops, and mobile devices) for deployment, including imaging and software installation.
  • Join devices to the domain and ensure proper configuration for organizational policies and security standards.
  • Set up and configure smart cards for end users, including troubleshooting authentication issues.
  • Provide deployment support, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues during and after deployment.
  • Guide end users through step-by-step instructions for installing required software applications and tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues on workstations, including slowness, freezes, or application crashes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity problems, such as Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN issues.
  • Address and resolve access issues, including account lockouts and permission errors.
  • Ensure functionality of critical systems and applications, escalating complex issues to higher-level support when needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of processes, resolutions, and configurations.
