Your Tasks

A new team is now being formed as part of a strategic and long-term support initiative.

You will work on servers, storage solutions, and network. Your expertise will be vital because this job is focused around high skilled system repair tasks and installation projects of all sizes to bring new components up and running.

  • Must have previous experience supporting enterprise servers, storage and network equipment of brands like HPE, Dell, IBM, and NetApp.

  • Expertise in the installation, support and decommissioning of rack servers, storage and UPS.

  • Formalised training and qualifications with CompTIA A+ would be highly advantageous. Also some knowledge of CCNA and MCSE.

  • A friendly, engaging and professional demeanour as a primary “face” of Hemmersbach.

  • Comfortable and confident is working under your own independent judgement – especially under time-constrained situations.

  • Above, it is a willingness to take on the challenge of resolving a problem, taking pride in a job well done and becoming a “safe-pair-of-hands”, keeping our client’s technology estate running smoothly.

  • Due to the varied nature of the role, it may be subject to enhanced referencing or vetting

Our Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of experience .
  • Working technical knowledge. Ability to provide smart hands support on server, storage and networking devices.
    Engineers shall be fluent to communicate in English.
  • Maintain computer systems, troubleshooting errors, running diagnostics, repairing hardware.
  • Install and set up new server & storage and perform routine maintenance.
  • Works on problems/projects of high complexity & scope.
    Working technical knowledge of standard server operating systems software (Windows, MS Office 365, Outlook, Apple iOS)
  • Ability to read and understand complex technical documentation and manuals.
  • Provide mentoring to junior/entry-level technicians,
    Excellent client facing, customer service soft skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
  • Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to end customer locations across the Country.
  • Ability to management the lifecycle of the call through end-client's and/or Hemmersbach IT service management (ITSM) systems.
