As an IT Service Solutions Architect, you are part of our international business development team, supporting the company’s growth by assisting our Account Directors in winning new global IT Service projects. You take great interest in gaining insight into the sales pursuit phase of IT projects all around the world.
> In coordination with your assigned Account Director, consult with customers to understand their IT service needs, including an understanding of current state and future state
> Gather and evaluate related data, i.e., locations (country, city, state/province), number of devices, device types, headcount, etc.
> Evaluate ticket data to determine number of incidents and request and time on task, uncovering trends that might influence future state
> With support of the Bid Management Team, use all data inputs to develop pricing proposals for our clients
> Assist in the development of RFP/RFQ responses
> Ability to present and defend proposed solution to both external and internal colleagues
> Experience in the development of deal pricing, i.e., cost plus, margin calculations, application of currency exchange rates, understanding of various country-level cost factors, ROI modeling, break-even calculations.
> Experience in developing deals that are global in nature. Must have an understanding of how global deals are priced, and impact of such things like NRT/VAT tax and currency exchange rates
> Industry expert that can come to the table with vast knowledge of current market pricing for things like onsite service calls, FTE rates, hourly ticket rates, 24x7 after hour rates
> Analyze pricing data from industry sources and competitors
> Assist in the development of global rate cards
> Experience in working with teams that are global in nature, i.e., interacting with colleagues in Europe, LATAM, Asia Pacific. (May require some off-shift time to accommodate availability of others)
> Minimum 5 years’ experience in role as a client-facing solution architect in the IT Services industry
> ITIL Foundations Certification a plus
> Ability to work within the business hours of region assigned (Americas)
> Excellent time management skills required. Ability to prioritize competing interests and deliver solutions/pricing within expected timelines
> Creativity and design skills Expert in MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Experience in Power BI a plus
> Must be a whiz at excel. Able to do vlookups, pivot tables, nested if/and/or functions
> Ability to use mapping tools in excel or standalone applications, i.e. Bing maps, 3D maps in Excel
> Experience in IT services industry, IT outsourcing, end-user/workplace computing, server/storage, networking and data center environments
> Experience in developing and pricing “as a Service” deals a plus. i.e., Device as a Service, PC as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service
